What is the difference between computer gaming and console gaming? Besides what platform it is on, apparently there are as many computer gamers as there are console gamers. Computer gaming isn't as popular as console gaming. You hardly hear about computer games being released, unless you really keep up with the gaming news. Every time you turn around, it's all about the PS3 or the Xbox 360. There are only a few games that are heard about over and over again and that is World of Warcraft or as some might call it WoW.
The difference between computer gamers and console gamers is that more computer gamers are more prone to playing MMO's and other online RPG's (Role Playing Games) such as WoW. Console gamers are used to a joystick or game controller, which is easier to function than a keyboard. Most people think that computer games will take over, but that is not necessarily true, considering the fact that it seems consoles and handheld games are more popular. In the entire evolution of gaming, it really doesn't matter what you play your videogames. Whether it is on a desktop, a laptop or a PS3, gaming will continue and it seems there will be no end.
